Jose Mourinho should sell misfiring Chelsea striker Diego Costa, says Arsenal legend Ian Wright

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has told Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to sell Diego Costa at ‘the first opportunity’ after the striker’s poor start to the season. Costa, 27, has just two goals so far this term and is behind ‘own goals’ as Chelsea’s top goalscorer this season.

The Blues have had a woeful start to the season and currently sit just three points above the relegation zone.

And Wright, who scored 185 goals for Arsenal, says Costa’s not the same player he was last season and should be sold. ‘I would sell him at the first opportunity I get for Costa. I’d sell him,’ said Wright.‘As brilliant as he was in the first season, he’s playing a lot differently now.‘He’s antagonised at the moment. If I was a defender I would just keep talking to him, it takes him away from his game.‘When he first got here he was concentrated on scoring goals and being in the box, now he’s doing everything else.‘He’s outside the box and getting involved with people. At this moment, he’s the last centre forward Chelsea need.’
