Kanye West To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award At 2015 MTV Music Video Awards

Kanye West

Kanye West is set to receive a lifetime achievement award at this year’s MTV Music Video Awards later this week.

The award, known as the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, is the highest honour of the awards show and is reserved for legends who have changed their genres and the music industry as a whole.
Previous winners include Madonna, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and The Rolling Stones.
West would be honoured for his “ground-breaking videos, legendary performances and continued impact on music, art, fashion and culture.”
Few would disagree with this honour for the hubristic artiste.
This year’s MTV Music Video Awards is slated for 30th August at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Miley Cyrus.
