Carneiro Slams FA Handling Of Mourinho Row

Former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro claims the FA did not ask her to make a statement over alleged discriminatory remarks made by Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho was cleared by English football's governing body over an incident that contributed to Carneiro parting company with the club.
The Gibraltar-born doctor has released a statement slamming the investigation - which she claims she learned about in the press.

The statement said: "I wonder whether this might be the only formal investigation in this country where the evidence of the individuals involved in the incident was not considered relevant. Choosing to ignore some of the evidence will surely influence the outcome of the findings."
Carneiro was dropped from first-team duties by the Chelsea manager after racing on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard during a match in August - even though the referee called her on.
If a player receives treatment he has to temporarily leave the pitch - meaning Chelsea, who already had a man sent off, had to play with nine men for a short period.
Mourinho criticised Carneiro in media interviews after the match versus Swansea, which ended 2-2.
Carneiro has also said the FA did not ask her for a statement after being the victim of sexist abuse at West Ham last season.
Her statement added: "It is incidents such as these and the lack of support from the football authorities that make it so difficult for women in the game."
Carneiro has received support from Heather Rabbatts, head of the FA's inclusion advisory board, who said she had "major concerns" about the process that saw Mourinho cleared.
Ms Rabbatts added that the FA's handling of the case was "seriously disappointing".
FA chairman Greg Dyke has also chipped in, saying Mourinho committed "a failure of his personal judgement and public behaviour".
The FA said: "We have never received any information or complaint from Dr Carneiro.
"Including in written correspondence with her lawyers, it has been made explicitly clear that if Dr Carneiro had evidence to provide or wished to make a complaint she was more than welcome to do so. That route remains open."
Mourinho was asked about the matter at his weekly press conference.
"For the past two months I didn't open my mouth and I'm going to keep it like this," he said. "One day I will speak and I will choose a day."
