We use so much social media these days that it's difficult to remember what we've said, and who we've said it to. So spare a thought for loved up John Fogarty, who decided to send a gushing WhatsApp message to his girlfriend Mary Poniard, complete with nauseatingly cute emojis and declarations of love.
The only problem is, Mary never received that message - his mates did. John, from Louth, Ireland, wrote: "Morning beautiful, I hope you're having a great well-deserved sleep - very tired this morning and jealous of you.
"In work and yet to start, I've no interest today.
"Chat when you're waking. Love you." But instead of sending it to his true love, he sent it to his lads' group - and quickly realised his mistake.
Immediately after his post, John wrote back: "Noooooooooo".
Unsurprisingly, his mates didn't let him off lightly - and later made his mistake public knowledge by posting it on a website.
